Lizii Chan (b. Kyiv, Ukraine) is a London-based Ukrainian artist who explores a distinctive fusion of fantasy and dark, theatrical compositions. Influenced by early avant-garde movements, hallucinatory imagery challenges classical conventions, evoking depth and mystery.
Rooted in mysticism and esoteric symbolism, Chan’s work delves into themes of spirituality, tarot, and transformation. Bold stereometric forms, precise contours, and a rejection of chiaroscuro define a signature naive yet sophisticated style. Each piece serves as a portal into the subconscious, where fantasy and reality converge.
Working closely with tarot, Chan approaches art as a spiritual journey—an ongoing revelation of hidden forces and unseen dimensions. Through this practice, the many Angels of mystery that art carries are unveiled, inviting viewers into a world where the veils of perception are lifted. Canvases whisper secrets, guiding the observer through the labyrinth of the unknown.
